What is Etching?
• Etching, or photo etching, is a chemical milling process used to fabricate sheet metal components, or draw designs on metal plates
• It uses a photo resist and etchant, corrosion liquid, to cut into the selected areas
• A photo resist is a light sensi1ve material to protect the metal plate from getting etched,so that only the selected areas are etched
